The Return
Spring Equinox | March 18-21, 2027 | MENDOCINO COaST
Something Ancient Is Calling Us Back
There is a quiet remembering stirring
Beneath the noise of our everyday lives. A longing to move more slowly, not simply to feel the Earth beneath our feet but to meet her as a part of ourselves. To recognize the wisdom within our bodies as more than just a vessel, but as an keeper of cyclical knowledge. To return to a way of being that our collective consciousness has yearning for far longer than we’ve realized, in rhythm with the cosmos, the land, and one another.
We feel it in our desire for deeper connection, in the moments of burn out and the exhaustion of constant doing, and in the silent validation when the natural world reminds us that life was never meant to be lived in isolation from its rhythms.
The Return is an invitation to answer that call
For four days and Three nights
We will gather among the redwoods, near the ocean, and beneath the stars to welcome the Spring Equinox through ritual, rest, nourishment, movement, and meaningful connection.
Together, we will explore what it means to live in relationship with the land, our bodies, the cycles of nature, and one another. We will create space to remember the sacred within the ordinary and begin weaving these practices back into the lives we return home to. Not to become someone new,
But to remember what has always lived within us.
Root to Return
We live in a society that asks us to move faster than our bodies can follow, to produce more than we can sustainably give, and to measure our worth by how much we accomplish.
Over time, we have become disconnected from the rhythms that once guided our lives: the turning of the seasons, the cycles of rest and renewal, the wisdom of our bodies, and the relationships that sustain us.
Yet beneath the expectations and structures of modern life, another way of being is still available to us.
One rooted in reciprocity rather than extraction, in presence rather than urgency, in community rather than isolation, and in relationship with all that is around us. In the understanding that we are not separate from nature, but an expression of it.
The Return is an opportunity to begin remembering these relationships through lived experience. We will cultivate a more cyclical, relational way of living, not as an ideal we must perfectly achieve, but as a practice we can continue tending.
Because returning is not a destination, it’s a relationship we choose to nurture.
A Sacred Threshold
The Spring Equinox marks a moment of balance between darkness and light, a turning point in the seasonal cycle when the Earth begins to awaken into a new season of growth.
After the quiet, inward movement of winter, Spring invites us to reemerge and begin again. Together we will honor this threshold as the emergence of a new relationship with our bodies, the land, and one another.
Emergence does not require us to rush, but to meet ourselves again as we entered the world before the conditioning taught us to forget. In nature, growth unfolds through relationship with the conditions that support it: healthy soil, nourishment, warmth, water, and time.
This is the wisdom we will carry into our gathering.
The Land as our Teacher
Nestled along the Mendocino Coast, our retreat will unfold in a landscape of towering redwoods, forest trails, open sky, and the nearby sea.
Here, the natural world becomes more than the backdrop to our experience. It becomes an active participant in our remembering.
We will spend time listening to the forest, feeling the elements, observing the relationships that sustain the living world, and allowing the land to remind us of the wisdom of patience, interdependence, and cyclical renewal.
There will be space for guided experiences and quiet wandering, for shared discovery and solitude, for gathering around the fire and resting beneath the canopy of trees.
We come not to take something from the land, but to be in relationship with it.
Remembering How to Listen
Our bodies are living expressions of nature, shaped by cycles, seasons, sensations, and rhythms of their own.
Yet we have learned to override their messages in order to keep up with the demands of everyday life.
Throughout The Return, we will create opportunities to reconnect with the body as a source of wisdom. Through somatic movement, breath, rest, sensory awareness, and embodied ritual, we will explore how to recognize our needs, honor our capacity, and respond with greater presence.
We will also work with the wisdom of the seasons and the cosmos, using astrology and cyclical awareness as symbolic frameworks for reflection and relationship.
These practices are not about finding a perfect routine or following another set of rules to live by. They are invitations to become more intimate with our own rhythms and to trust the wisdom that emerges when we learn to listen.
Returning to the Village
There is something profoundly healing about being witnessed, supported, and welcomed exactly as we are.
For generations, gathering in community has been part of how people shared wisdom, marked transitions, rites of passage, tended the land, celebrated life, and cared for one another.
The “modern” world has stripped us of this way of being and replaced with hyper independence, stoicism, and separation.
The Return is an invitation to remember the Village, not as a place we must find somewhere outside ourselves, but as a relationship we can begin rebuilding together.
We will share meals, stories, ceremony, laughter, and quiet moments of companionship. We will practice the art of being together without needing to perform, prove, or produce.
Four Days of Remembrance, Ritual & Relationship
Ritual & Ceremony
We will mark the turning of the season through intentional ceremonies, reflection, and practices that invite us to honor what has been, welcome what is emerging, and reconnect with the sacred within everyday life.
Embodiment & Rest
Through gentle movement, breathwork, sound, and restorative practices, we will make space to settle into our bodies, release the pressure of constant doing, and rediscover the nourishment of slowing down.
Earth Connection & Ancestral Wisdom
We will explore land-based and seasonal practices that deepen our relationship with the natural world, drawing inspiration from the cycles of the Earth and the wisdom of those who came before us while honoring the distinct traditions and lineages from which practices arise.
Living at the Threshold
We are living in a time of profound transition, standing between ways of being that no longer feel sustainable and possibilities we are still learning how to embody.
Many of us feel the call to return to more relational, cyclical, land-connected ways of living while simultaneously navigating the responsibilities and structures of a modern world that often moves in the opposite direction.
The Return does not ask us to abandon our lives or imagine that we can simply step outside these systems.
Instead, we will explore what it means to live with one foot in each world: remembering ancient wisdom while developing practical ways to honor it within the realities of our present lives.
How might we bring more ritual into our mornings? More reciprocity into our relationships? More seasonal awareness into the way we work, rest, create, and care for ourselves?
Our hope is that the relationships we nurture during these four days will continue to grow long after we leave the forest.
We are not gathering to escape the world. We are gathering to remember how we want to live within it.

Is The Return Calling You?
This gathering may be for you if you are longing to slow down and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have become quiet beneath the demands of everyday life.
If you feel drawn to the wisdom of the Earth and land based practices, the turning of the seasons, and the sacred practices that help us move through life with greater presence.
If you are craving genuine community, meaningful ritual, and a space where you can arrive as you are, without needing to be anything more.
You do not need to have experience with astrology, ceremony, or spiritual practices. You only need a willingness to be curious, to listen, and to enter into relationship with yourself, the land, and those gathering alongside you.
There is no perfect way to return.
There is only the invitation to begin.
